Spring has finally arrived and students at Lund University will again be celebrating Valborg (Walpurgis Night) with songs and a bonfire.
In May we have a final round of events before the semester ends. On May 3rd we have a book launch and on 21st May we are pleased to invite Professor Prasenjit Duara, Duke University, currently Vice President, Association for Asian Studies and former Director of Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore. At both events we will offer some refreshments so please make sure you register.
Now it has been decided that the Centre in 2019 will become part of the Department of History which also houses Human Rights Studies. We look forward to new opportunities for collaboration!

We are starting a new programme this fall inviting Swedish and Nordic Ph.D. students to spend 1-2 months at the Centre. While we are not able to offer any funding we will provide office space, access to the library, as well as possibilities to organize research seminars. We believe that the Centre has a role to play to nurture young scholars specialising on the region. Please see here for more information and please submit your application before 1 May |
