May is a busy month filled with preparations for final exams and submissions of theses, but also with the promise of summer holidays not being far ahead. The last events for the semester focuses on China and include a film screening on labour activism and an event commemorating two sensitives anniversaries, namely May 4th and June 4th.
Our photo exhibition, Visualising Asian cities, with the winners from the photo contest are on show in the Asia library until May 31st. So please come and get inspired! We plan to announce a new photo contest in the next academic year.
Finally a reminder about our international conference Digital Asia, with deadline 7 June. We have four excellent keynotes and look forward to the conference and to the Ph.D. workshops that we also organise.
In Swedish we have the phrase ”mellan hägg och syren (between the bird cherry and lilac flower),” which refers to the wonderful time between mid-May and June when nature is at its best in Sweden. I hope you all have a wonderful May!
