Another year is drawing to an end. Despite the pandemic it has been a very intensive and fruitful year for the Centre. We welcomed 28 new master students, started a couple of new MA and BA level courses, hired two new postdoctoral fellows, have hosted several visiting scholars, and organised a range of events, and in addition two of our staff got research funding for new exciting projects.
The Centre's commissioned study on teaching about East and South-East Asia in Swedish schools will be presented at an online event on 18th January. In January we will announce two fully financed PhD positions with deadline 15 February (for further information see our website/Phd page).
We are currently planning a number of activities for the spring semester, including both online lectures and in-person events. The topics range from food and food sovereignty in South-East Asia, the Chinese Communist Party and its global force, to religion in Japan, and much more, so stay tuned.
Wishing you all a wonderful 2022! Marina |
