CEC Fellows May 2019 newsletter Dear colleagues, CEC Fellows welcomes all members to participate in the next concept seminar on Landscape, at the 5th of June. Researchers from different disciplines will give their views to straightening out the concept of Landscape as a research perspective for us. We are planning two more seminars during autumn 2019, and if you have suggestions for a concept to discuss please let us know! Opportunities European Commission: Call for expression of interest for members of five Mission Boards to help specify, design and implement missions for Horizon Europe (HEU). A number of missions will be included in Horizon Europe the next framework programme and these will specifically target global challenges. My latest publication was a chapter in the book Anthropocene Encounters on how human agency and socio-ecological relations is being imagined in literary fiction.You find the book chapter here. 2. As a young researcher it is a good way to get an idea of what reserach is being done on climate and other environmental issues and who the people are. Know more? -click here Lars Nieradzik - researcher Keywords: numerical modelling of: wildfire, atmosphere-biosphere interaction, dynamic vegetation, climate 1. A reassessment of pre-industrial fire emissions using up-to-date wildfire models indicates an underestimation of pre-industrial atmospheric aerosol-load which in turn reduces the anthropogenic impact on the aerosol forcing significantly.
