Advanced Course on Characterization of Powders


The processing and handling of powders involves a multitude of operations such as production, the size and type of particles, transport, storage, redissoultion, powder blending, etc. This is an introductory 3-day course on powder processing for academics and engineers.

In this 3-day course at Lund University and MAX IV a wide range of laboratory methods for characterisation of powders are highlighted together with the state-of-the-art synchrotron methods opening doors to new horizons for the characterisation of pharmaceuticals and other complex materials.

The Future of Formulation Development - Using Synchrotron Light

Formulation Technology in Pharmaceutics, Nutraceutics and Cosmetics

An intensive 2-day course, which will be held at MAX IV Laboratory in Lund. The course has a focus on the interaction between industry interested in obtaining an insight into characterization of formulations and last-generation synchrotrons such as MAX IV.


This course has a focus on the link between formulation science and how to transfer this into the practical situation of product development. The aim of the course is to provide participants with an applicable understanding of formulated products, and how such products are designed and manufactured.
