For doctoral candidates and early career researchers U21 will be offering awards of US$ 5,000 to support up to 20 collaborative projects that develop doctoral candidates and early career researchers’ capability and capacity to work digitally or virtually, in order to adapt to life as a researcher, post-COVID-19.
Funding may be used for skills development and training, and technology set-up costs. It is possible that the funding could, for example, contribute towards:- Digital training workshops
- Subscriptions for online platforms for network-building
- Costs associated with developing a subject-specific support network for COVID-19

The regional innovation network ERRIN (of which Lärosäten Syd is a member) is planning a project development workshop in Brussels in November (the exact date – tbc – depends on how the pandemic develops). The workshop will focus on the Erasmus+ programme and Key Action 2 and 3.
The network is now looking for interested participants who have project ideas that they want to coordinate on one of four topics (based on EU priorities):- Green skills in a global perspective
- Digital skills in a global world
- Intercultural competences
- Global competence as a life-long learning process

EUA-CDE online sessions
These sessions will take place between 3-12 June 2020.
The EUA Council for Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) is organising a series of online sessions about the implications of the current coronavirus crisis on doctoral education and how doctoral schools and similar structures are adapting their ways of working in these unprecedented circumstances.
