Alumni Britt & Siv help newly-arrived residents learn Swedish
These two alumni have been volunteering at a local language café to help newly-arrived residents learn Swedish. In collaboration with the International Citizen Hub Lund, the LU Alumni Network has recruited volunteers for the EOS Language Café. Britt and Siv are both examples of how one can be an active member within the LU Alumni Network as well as a proactive member in the community, even in retirement. Interested in also volunteering? Love@Lund

On Valentine’s Day we welcomed alumni and friends to the grand opening of the Love@Lund exhibition. We learned more about the chemistry of love from Professor Ulf Ellervik and listened to a lovely concert by the Palaestra Vocal Ensemble. Read more about the event here.

If you missed this event, you can see the exhibition in Café Athen in the AF-building until 28 January.

We Have A Dream. An exhibition about courage, compassion and human rights
We Have a Dream is essentially a photography project, but one that goes beyond the portrait frames. The initiators – Albert Wiking, who took the portraits of the participants, and Oscar Edlund, who interviewed them – wished to make a contribution to a more liveable world by showcasing positive examples. Having a dream is a strong motivation. The purpose of the exhibition and the book We Have a Dream is to inspire everyone to dare follow their dreams: big or small, now or later in life. Dreaming gives us power and courage.

Lunds konsthall now shows a selection from 114 portraits, taken all over the world between 2002 and 2016. The exhibition is open until 7 May. Read more.
