Man & sound Environment 2017
- Interdisciplinary symposium on Current Soundscape Research

16 November, 2017 9:00 - 15:00 i LUX aula, Helgonavägen 3 Lund
The field of soundscape is a growing and active research field that covers the most suprising angles and aspects of sound. This symposium gives a glimpse of current soundscape related research in a wide array of disciplines like speech and music communication, logopedics, landscape architecture, ethnology, musicology, cultural science and acoustics.

In other words a truly interdisciplinary symposium!

Preregistration by email to: projektledare@ljudcentrum.kultur.lu.se. Write 16/11 in the subject line. The symposium is free and open for all interested. Coffee and lunch will be served free of charge.
In 2010 The Sound Environment Center at Lund University arranged an internordic conference in Lund in cooperation with the Swedish Noise Network, a conference focusing on recent and upcoming research within the soundscape area. Under the title ”Man & Sound Environment 2010" a number of researchers met to present their work to each other and to the soundscape research community. Since then much has happened on the research arena and it is time for a new conference ”Man and Sound Environment 2017” to showcase current findings. Among the main goals  of the conference is support for new research careers and the providing of a forum for interdisciplinary meetings and collaborations.

The Sound Environment Center has invited applications from those with recently aquired doctorates, or from doctorate students, to particpate in the conference with a presentation about their doctorate project on a soundscape related subject.

The topic might be any with a bearing on soundscape, it may related to health, acoustics, cognition, hearing or music. Any relevant disciplines were welcome; acoustics, environmental medicine, architecture, voice research, musicology or cognitive research and more.

Don´t miss out on this unique symposium!
