Dear Big Science Sweden members and friends We are now back in Sweden after an intensive but so rewarding few days at BSBF 2024 in Trieste. Read more about the event and our successful Business Pavilion in this newsletter.
Västerbotten in northern Sweden is known for its broad range of highly specialised small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Big Science Sweden is now involved in a project to strengthen the region’s innovation capacity with a focus on the Big Science market. Similar projects are under way in other parts of the country, in Västra Götaland and in Skåne. It will be exciting to monitor the progress and see how all these initiatives develop.
Next month, Richard Jacobsson, Swedish physicist at CERN, will be in Uppsala, meeting with interested Swedish high-tech companies at a lunch seminar. Richard is leading a project at CERN that has large investments in new technology planned over the next few years. Before the seminar, there will be an informal lunch with fine networking opportunities. I hope to see many of you there!
