Dear Big Science Sweden members and friends
As summer approaches, we can look back on an exciting and eventful spring. One of the highlights was the Advanced Fusion Materials Workshop at The Loop in Science Village, Lund. The event brought together experts from research facilities, industry, research institutes and academia from across Europe, creating new connections, fresh ideas and valuable discussions on the future of fusion energy.
Now we are turning our attention to an equally exciting autumn. One of the key events will be the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) 2026 in Maastricht on 27–30 October. BSBF is Europe’s largest event dedicated to business opportunities within Big Science, bringing together high-tech companies, research organisations and major research facilities from across Europe. Together with Norway, Estonia and Latvia, we will host a Nordic–Baltic Business Pavilion, and we hope to see many of you there.
Until then, we wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to meeting both familiar and new faces in Maastricht this autumn.

| CERN Swedish physicist Fredrik Parnefjord Gustafsson is part of a CERN research team that has demonstrated a new way of using antimatter to study atomic nuclei. Their proof-of-principle demonstration could provide scientists with a powerful new tool for exploring the structure of matter. |
