Dear Big Science Sweden members and friends
Swedish expertise continues to achieve success in the international Big Science market. I am absolutely delighted that our member company Freemelt has secured a significant order from Fusion for Energy. This an important milestone for Sweden’s growing role in fusion energy and a fantastic example of how expertise and long-term commitment can lead to international business.
This autumn, we are really looking forward to Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) 2026 in Maastricht on 27–30 October. Most of our team will be on site, together with our colleagues from Norway, Estonia and Latvia. We look forward to welcoming you to the joint Nordic–Baltic Business Pavilion.

| F4E Big Science Sweden member company Freemelt has received an order from Fusion for Energy (F4E) for more than 30,000 tungsten-based components for the JT-60SA fusion programme in Japan. The order has a base value of SEK 55 million, with options that could increase the total contract value to SEK 84 million. |

| GSI/FAIR Swedish companies EKAnalys and Assemblin joined forces with GSI/FAIR to explore how research facilities can transition to more sustainable cooling systems. |

| European XFEL Swedish companies visited European XFEL to present their expertise and discuss the research facility’s technical needs. |

| CERN A delegation of Swedish companies travelled to CERN in Geneva for an intensive two-day programme designed to answer exactly that question. |

| LUND A well-attended Loop Lunch at The Loop in Lund brought together Big Science Sweden’s Amelie Hallin and Frida Tibblin Citron with three guests to explore how research facilities create opportunities for industry and future talent. |
