"The role of higher education in contributing to just and sustainable futures".
20-22 September 2023
INN University, Hamar campus
Welcome to Hamar to the 2023 SANORD conference
The topic for this year’s conference is “The role of higher education in contributing to just and sustainable futures.” The world is facing several immense crises, and as part of our mission at INN University, we seek to contribute to solving some of these. We have excellent research communities working on topics such as education, health, natural resource management, agriculture and biotechnology, among others.
A changing world with increasing insecurity requires new solutions in many fields. In Hamar and the Inland region we are actively taking part in the green shift, and our educational programmes and research reflect this need.
We believe that higher education and international collaboration is vital in finding solutions for just and sustainable futures for all. At this year’s conference, we seek to bring together researchers and academics from a broad range of disciplines to discuss these topics.
The keynote speakers are:
- Honourable Mr. Douglas Syakalima, Minister of Education of Zambia.
- Professor Kenneth Matengu, Vice Chancellor, University of Namibia (UNAM).
- Emerita Victoria W. Thoresen, Former UNESCO Chair for Education for Sustainable Lifestyles.
