These are challenging and uncertain times that affect us all. At the Centre we have cancelled all our public events for this semester and moved teaching online. The Asia library has reduced its opening hours and is for now open 10-13.
Nonetheless, we are confidently planning for the future and the fall semester. We look forward to welcome new students and also restart our public activities.
The Centre will starts its Ph.D. programme in the fall and got 111 applicants for the two positions which shows an impressive interest. We are now working to select the candidates.
The Centre is announcing short-term research positions for the fall. We encourage scholars working within the prioritized research areas interested to spend some time at the Centre to apply (deadline 15 April).
Apart from our master programme, we offer a wide range of courses related to East and South-East Asia at different levels. Interested to learn more about Japanese society? Or learn more about China and its global role? Check out our courses here and apply before 15 April.
Please take care , look after one another, keep your spirits up, and stay in touch with us!
