New rules for laboratory work New rules for laboratory work have been implemented (including all work with chemicals “outside” labs – fieldwork etc.) This means that ALL personnel working in laboratories (and who are responsible for postdocs, PhD's and students working in labs) have to do an online course in laboratory safety and pass the test at the end of the course. (Per and Ola will need to see the certificate for passing the test). If you are permanently employed you have until 1 March to get your certificate – all others have to do this immediately before entering the labs. The course can be found on the University homepage – “Kompetensportalen” (Professional Development Portal). The course is named “Grundläggande kemikaliesäkerhet på Lunds Universitet” or ”Basic Chemical Safety Training at Lund University” – available in both in English and Swedish.
