SKERIC – Future Laureates Societal Challenges Programme
SKERIC – ett forsknings- och innovationsfrämjande samarbetsprojektet med Sydkorea, koordinerat av LU.

Sista ansökningsdag: 28 april 2024 

Detta karriärutvecklingsprogram bjuder in doktorander och forskare som disputerat 2020 eller senare att ansöka för att ingå i en dynamisk tvärvetenskaplig grupp av forskare tidigt i karriären, som arbetar tillsammans för att diskutera och adressera komplexa samhällsutmaningar.

De fem tvärvetenskapliga temagrupperna är:
  1. Climate change and green transformation
  2. Precision health
  3. Innovative energy solutions
  4. Dynamic, secure and sustainable society
  5. Artificial intelligence

SKERIC – Future Laureates Societal Challenges Programme
SKERIC – A research and innovation promoting cooperation project with South Korea, coordinated by LU.

Application deadline: 28 April 2024 

This career development programme invites PhD students and researchers who completed their PhD in 2020 or later to apply to join a dynamic interdisci-plinary group of early career researchers, working together to discuss and address complex societal challenges.

The five interdisciplinary theme groups are:
  1. Climate change and green transformation
  2. Precision health
  3. Innovative energy solutions
  4. Dynamic, secure and sustainable society
  5. Artificial intelligence

Welcome to a webinar where Plint's (Platform for internationalisation) mapping of funding opportunities for outgoing mobility in higher education and research is presented and discussed in a panel discussion.

Minor Field Studies (MFS) har återuppstått i ny tappning
Sidas stipendieprogram Minor Field Studies har åter-uppstått i delvis nytt format. Stipendieprogrammet som existerat i över 50 år lades ner under 2022, men administreras numera av Stockholms universitet i samverkan med andra svenska lärosäten.

Det som är nytt är att förutom att studenternas fält-studier fortfarande måste relatera till de globala målen för hållbar utveckling (Agenda 2030) måste de även kopplas till regeringens reformagenda för biståndet som fastställer sju prioriteringar för svenskt utvecklingssamarbete.

Lunds universitet har skickat in en ansökan och väntar besked på resultatet senast 30 april. Vid positivt svar kommer ansökan för studenterna att öppna direkt – preliminärt 5-15 maj – och kommer i denna omgång endast gälla fältstudier under höstterminen 2024.

Minor Field Studies (MFS) has resurrected in a new form
The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency’s scholarship programme MFS has been resurrected in a partially new format. The scholarship programme is now administered by Stockholm University in collaboration with other Swedish higher education institutions.

What's new is that, in addition to the students' field studies still having to relate to the global goals for sustainable development (Agenda 2030), they must also be linked to the government's aid reform agenda, which establishes seven priorities for Swedish development cooperation.

New strategic direction for Swedish development assistance: Development assistance for a new era

Lund University has applied and is awaiting notification of the results by 30 April. If there is a positive response, the application for the students will open immediately – approximately 5-15 May – and will in this round only be open to field studies during the autumn semester 2024.

The role of data in shaping doctoral education

The meeting takes place in Barcelona and is hosted by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia on 26-28 June.

Join the next UN Convention on Climate Change in Bonn
Lund University has observer status to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Researchers and students can apply to be a part of the LU Delegation to attend the yearly UN climate change conferences and other meetings and negotiations under the UNFCCC.
 
The next UNFCCC intersessional negotiations will take place in Bonn 3-13 June (SB60)

The application process to apply for accreditation with the Lund University Delegation for SB60 is open until 2 May. If you are interested, please contact stina.lundkvist@cec.lu.se

Baltic University Programme Mobility Grant
The aim with the BUP Mobility Grant is to develop and strengthen the cooperation among young researchers in the Baltic Sea Region. The grants are intended to support young scholars from BUP participating universities in their research on sustainable development.

The grants are aimed at young researchers which means researchers who finished their PhD in the past 5 years.

Application deadline: 30 April 2024.

You can now find course leaders looking for guest lecturers through the EUGLOH Visiting Guest Lecturer Programme. To fund your stay, you can apply for Erasmus+ teaching staff mobility.

Finansiering av forskningsvistelser, Nordic Centre Fudan University
Nordic Centre erbjuder medel till forskningsvistelser i Shanghai och för Fudan-forskares vistelser i Norden. Det finns ingen deadline för ansökan vilket innebär att ansökningar kan lämnas in under hela året.

Nordic Center har kontorsplatser för besökande forskare och erbjuder hjälp med kontakter till relevanta kollegor i Kina, ger praktisk hjälp vid tillfällig flytt inklusive underlättande av korttidsvisum till Kina. Besökande forskare får också tillgång till Fudan Universitys akademiska resurser, inklusive Fudan Universitys bibliotek. Nordic Center kan också anordna offentliga föreläsningar för gästforskare för interaktion med lokala forskare, studenter och andra målgrupper.

Funding for research stays, Nordic Centre Fudan University
The Nordic Centre provides funding for research stays in Shanghai and for Fudan scholars’ stays in the Nordic Region. There is no deadline for the application which means applications can be submitted throughout the year.

The Nordic Centre has office spaces for visiting scholars and offers help with contacts to relevant colleagues in China, gives practical help on temporary relocation including facilitating short-term visa to China. Visiting scholars also get access to the academic resources of Fudan University, including the libraries of Fudan University. Nordic Centre can also organise public lectures for visiting scholars for interaction with local researchers, students, and other target groups.

Digitala kurser tillsammans med chilenska doktorander 2024
Inom ramen för arbetet med ACCESS och FN:s hållbarhetsmål 3, 11, 14 and 15, ges kurser för doktorander om olika aspekter relaterade till de nämnda hållbarhetsmålen. Kurserna är öppna för doktorander från alla ACCESS-universitet.

Interdisciplinary approaches to social (in)justice, indigeneity and sustainable future(s) in Chile and Sweden
