For the eleventh consecutive year, Sweden's largest energy award, the Veckans Affärer's E-Prize, was handed out to Sweden's most innovative energy solutions. The E-Prize honors companies that have developed the most innovative energy solutions within the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency or sustainable transportation; the finalists are appointed by a panel of industry experts. Nilar was announced as a finalist in the renewable energy category for the innovation that prolongs the life of our battery. |

In February, Power Circle, a Swedish organization focused on the electric power industry, published an article about Nilar. In the article, Power Circle provided insights into Nilar, the benefits of Hydride batteries and some energy storage functionalities, such as peak shaving. The article also draws attention to a smart shopping mall in Grosseto, Italy, where Nilar's energy storage system has enabled a 75% reduction in energy consumption.

In May, the Swedish news channel, Breakit, acknowledged Nilar and the 327 million SEK capital raised. The article also discussed the preparations for Nilar's stock market entry and the growing need in society for energy storage. As Nilar’s CEO Marcus Wigren stated, “We are putting an ever-increasing pressure on the electricity grid and the demand is at its largest in the morning and the evening. Thus, there is a great need for energy storage in the society. Nilar's batteries will have an important stabilizing function”.

In an interview with the Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer, Nilar’s CEO Marcus Wigren and the co-founder Lars Fredriksson talked about the company goals that are set on reaching 2000 employees and 10 billion SEK in sales. In the article, Fredriksson states "This chemistry is more environmentally-friendly and a lot safer than many alternatives on the market". "We sell everything we produce" continues Wigren.

In August, Dagens Industri included Nilar on the list of high-valued Swedish companies that have yet to enter the stock market. With a valuation of approximately 1.5 billion SEK (May 2019), Nilar entered the list together with companies like Klarna, Apotea, Kry and Soundcloud.

Veckans Affärer posted an interview with Marcus Wigren in September in connection to Nilar’s E-Prize nomination. In the article, Wigren tells more about the Nilar innovation that prolongs the life of our battery: “The coolest thing about the company and what makes us unique in the world is that we can now refill our battery with new life."

In mid-May, it was made official that Nilar will go public on First North within one year. It is exciting that Nilar continues to break new grounds. |
