Spring highlights, greetings from the NIVA board – and an exciting autumn ahead

Dear NIVA friends,

This spring has been an active and rewarding period for NIVA. So far, we have delivered seven onsite courses, one conference and five webinars – bringing together hundreds of professionals from across the Nordic region and beyond. And the season is not over yet: you can still register for a conference on working conditions in the platform economy, taking place in Stockholm this June.

We also encourage you to explore our recorded webinars from this spring, available in the online materials section on our website.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks for the many high-quality course proposals submitted for 2027. The NIVA board met in Copenhagen in April, and we are pleased to share that several key themes within occupational health and safety will be addressed again next year. The full course programme will be published on niva.org in early autumn.

Looking ahead, the autumn season is already shaping up to be just as busy. We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming NIVA events, covering a wide range of topics within occupational health and safety – both onsite and online.

Finally, as summer approaches, we wish you a relaxing and enjoyable season!

Kind regards,
Henrik and the NIVA team

NIVA Board Meeting in Copenhagen
– planning for 2027 underway

In April 2026, NIVA’s board met in Copenhagen to review course proposals and discuss the 2027 programme. A strong set of proposals was received, with the majority approved.

Key themes for 2027 will include digitalisation and AI in the workplace, algorithmic management, and the practical application of research in occupational health and safety.

“The emphasis on societal impact and real-world application is growing stronger across the field,” notes board member Margrethe Schøning.

The full course programme will be published in early autumn 2026.
