Six months into the welcoming of refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine, it is time to have a look at how the temporary protection schemes have been implemented in the Nordic countries. While there are many similarities, the countries have also used different approaches to the reception of refugees from Ukraine.
Welcome to the seminar Temporary protection for refugees from Ukraine in the Nordic countries at World Trade Center (Klarabergsviadukten 70, Stockholm) on December 8.
At the event we will launch a new Nordic report that provides an overview of the practices in the Nordic countries. At the seminar, researchers, refugees from Ukraine and representatives from administration and civil society will bring their perspectives to the topic.
The event is co-organized by UNHCR Representation for the Nordic and Baltic Countries and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

It takes longer for foreign-born women to become established on the Nordic labour market than foreign-born men. Women are also more vulnerable to discrimination, exploitation, negative social control, and gender-based violence, which constitute a challenge for their participation in society.
We warmly invite you to join us in person for a lunch-to-lunch conference in Oslo, Norway on 12-13 December 2022. At the conference we will be exploring different ways of promoting women’s integration, and addressing challenges and opportunities relating to labour market integration, language learning, outreach to migrant women, and health literacy. |
