WEBINAR: Meet a local. Community sponsorship for refugees in a Nordic context
Community sponsorship programmes aim to support integration of refugees into the new community. Originating from Canada, the model has gained increasing interest throughout Europe in recent years. At this webinar in March, we will hear about recently launched pilot programmes in the Nordic countries.

Pre-call for Nordic-Baltic pool for research projects
NordForsk has issued a pre-call for research projects on migration and integration. The organization will support a total of 5-6 projects, with up to NOK 10.5 million per project available.

Last call for the webinar: Why should you (not) hire refugees and immigrants? 
On Thursday 15 February, the researchers from Nordregio will present the findings in our new Nordic research review and interview study on hiring low-skilled immigrants. We will also hear about opportunities and challenges faced by employers, who will present cases and practical examples from the Nordic countries. Some 200 participants have signed up for this event, and we have room for plenty more!

Europe moves towards more restrictive, selective and temporary refugee policies
A new research report maps the trend for governance structures and policies for integration in eight European countries from 2015-2023. A "race to the bottom", says project manager Vilde Hernes from the Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research (NIBR) at OsloMet.
