“Integration is too often a discussion based on feelings rather than data and actual needs” Takura Matswetu, chairman of the Nordic Migrant Expert Forum, emphasizes the need for measurable goals and the development of tools for evaluating integration efforts. He proposes the creation of a cross-border digital ecosystem to enhance integration services and empower migrants. "Finding the volunteers and matching them are the important steps" Community sponsorship is a Canadian idea that helps refugees fit into new communities. Pilot programs in Sweden and Finland are underway and the experiences were shared at a Nordic webinar in Stockholm. One central challenge is recruiting volunteers. And the deadline for applications is coming up  - June 16. What makes good integration and what is lacking in the Nordics? The Nordic Council of Ministers offer between DKK 500,000 to DKK 1,500,000 per project that must involve at least three of the following countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, or Åland.
