Peter Axegård, C-Green Technology, presents HTC Biocoal from sludge - A new pulp mill product.
What is your presentation about?
I will present a new continuous process combining hydrothermal carbonization and wet oxidation for an energy efficient conversion of wet organic sludge to a partially carbonized solid product. The solid product can be used as biofuel or soil improvement and has the potential to be used as activated carbon. The process is installed in the Stora Enso fluting mill in Heinola, Finland and initial results will be presented at NWBC. My presentation will also cover opportunities to separate ammonium, process COD rich mill liquors and results from different types of wet organic waste.
What are you the most looking forward to at NWBC?
NWBC is a great opportunity to meet experts in several areas and follow recent development in biorefining.
