October 1, RISE SICOMP (former Swerea SICOMP) became RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. Together with IVF, SWECAST, and the corrosion area of KIMAB we will mobilize our competencies, capabilities and innovation infrastructure into RISE in order to become a stronger innovation partner for industry, academy and public sector. For a competitive and sustainable industry and society, in Sweden as well as globally.

MEFOS and the remaining part of KIMAB will launch a new research institute, Swerim, with a focus on mining, mineral, steel and metal research, partly owned by RISE.
