Stepping up Sustainability is growing fast – 350 companies and 35 local authorities have signed up
The West Sweden Tourist Board launched Stepping up Sustainability in November. Stepping up Sustainability encourages the public and private sectors working with tourism in West Sweden to combine their energy in moving towards a more sustainable future. Stepping up Sustainability is going from strength to strength. So far almost 350 companies and 35 local authorities have signed up and more are on their way.
- It is fantastic to see such a great response. That so many have come on board already, after only nine months clearly shows that there is a determination to work sustainably with tourism in West Sweden, which feels really hopeful for the future – says Marie Linde, COO, West Sweden Tourist Board.
Tourism companies and local authorities from West Sweden share their own stories about how they work with sustainability at hallbarhetsklivet.se/en.
Now there is a film about Stepping up Sustainability. The 2 minute film describes Stepping up Sustainability, why it is so important, and how to join the initiative.
- Together, with the help of Stepping up Sustainability, we can put West Sweden on the map as a sustainable destination. It is our joint effort that makes the difference, and no step is too small as long as it is headed in the right direction – says Fredrik Lindén, CEO, West Sweden Tourist Board.
