This weekend is the premiere of Winter Lights, a light and sound trail at Gunnebo House and Gardens, just next to Gothenburg. Winter Lights has been arranged by the British production company Temple Live Entertainment, who have chosen just two places in the whole of Sweden to host the event, for the first time in this country. Apart from at Gunnebo, Winter Lights can also be seen at Skansen in Stockholm.
The illuminated trail at Gunnebo premieres on Friday 17 November and is open until 7 January. It can be experienced completely separately, or combined with a visit to the Christmas Market or a cosy Christmas lunch or dinner at Gunnebo Kaffehus och Krog.

The Göta Canal Trail has attracted a lot of international attention
In summer the Göta Canal Trail was given National Cycle Trail status – Sweden’s seventh so far. A large extent of the 220 km long stretch passes through West Sweden, and the ambition is to make it a family friendly attraction – by offering cycle rides of different lengths, as well as services and experiences along the whole trail, among other things.
There has been a lot of interest in the international media surrounding the Göta Canal Trail, and this summer alone several feature articles have been published. You can read some of them here:
