Apply for up to US$5,000 in the U21 Graduate Collaborative Research Awards

U21's Graduate Collaborative Research Awards are designed to be flexible and encourage doctoral candidates, with the support of their supervisors/advisors, to think innovatively about how their research could benefit from engagement with other members of the U21 network.

Applicants are invited to apply for up to US$5,000 per project and can be in any discipline or cross-discipline and should aid the development of transferable skills for doctoral candidates, allowing them to work independently, as well as in teams, on activities that benefit their doctoral research. At least 3 U21 member institutions — from at least 2 countries — must be involved in each project; there must be at least one doctoral candidate from each U21 member involved in the project.

Read more about the opportunity, eligibility and how to meet potential collaborators on the U21 website

Deadline for applications is Friday 6 August 2021.

Decisions will be announced the week commencing 6 September 2021. Funding to be transferred to the lead institution’s Graduate School by Friday 8 October 2021.

Host an MSc student from Southern Africa
SANORD invites applications from MSc students in Southern Africa for a study period of 3-5 months at a Nordic university. The scholarship sum is ZAR 84 000 and should be seen as co-funding, and it is therefore advantageous if the student comes to LU within the framework of an exchange agreement so as not to have to pay tuition fees.

The last day to apply is 15 August 2021.

More information about the Brian O’Connell Scholarship Programme is available on the Staff Pages
