The program of the CEC conference Science says! Mobilizing the knowledge of our time: The IPCC and IPBES reports, 23 April, has been adjusted and will go online via Zoom. CEC Fellows members are welcome to join. Register before 15 April.

Under this heading we are collecting calls with short deadlines, larger/collaboration calls, and nominations for prizes etc. Please check Plandisc below for a collection of all calls we have found for the upcoming year.- Kungl. - European Commission: EU Prize for Women Innovators - This prize recognises women entrepreneurs who have developed and brought to market an outstanding innovation. Three winners receive €100,000 each, and €50,000 is awarded to a Rising Innovator. Deadline 21 April.

- LU: The Faculty of Science and LU central calls for research infrastructure are postponed. New deadline 23 April 2020. For both calls, the Director's signature is required. Below you find the handling procedure for CEC applications.
- Contact Per Persson if you would like to discuss ideas or have questions regarding the calls.
- Send the full cost application (fullkostnadskalkyl) to the CEC economist Eva Stengard before 16 April. State clearly whether the application refers to the call from LU central or Faculty of Science.
- Send the application to Per Persson before 20 April at 10.00 am. State clearly whether the application refers to the call from LU central or Faculty of Science.
- Per Persson is rapporteur for the Director (Henrik Smith). Given that the Director approves the application, he will sign the full cost application, which should be attached the application.
- The applicant submit the application before 23 April.

We have been given the opportunity to use the Grants Calendar, developed by the Faculty of Medicin, which we believe will be a better tool for you to use while searching for funding opportunities. The calendar lists calls according to the deadline date, and you can easily select the calls according to categories, type of funding or search by free text. To access the Grants Calender you log in with your LUCAT-id. More instructions are found here.
To find calls relevant for environmental and climate research type "CEC" in the free text search box.
Please, let us now what you think about the Grants Calendar! In the coming months, the Plandisc and the Grants Calendar will be compared and evaluated and then the preferred calendar will be selected. Send an email to Cerina Wittbom with your thoughts, comments and preferences.
