At Lund University, we firmly believe in working across national and institutional boundaries to address global challenges. In line with this commitment, we are pleased to announce that the call for this year’s Get Started Funding opens today, 15 September.
The seed funding supports collaborative research between researchers at LU and select partner universities in countries newly associated to Horizon Europe. Funds of up to SEK 25 000 per award are available for LU-Swiss/UK/Ukrainian partnerships and SEK 60 000 for LU-Canadian/Egyptian/Korean/New Zealand partnerships.
The application deadline is 5 November. Applicants will be notified of outcomes during December. Funded collaborative activities must take place before 1 December 2026.
As a key partner, we would greatly appreciate it if you shared this opportunity with researchers who may be interested in connecting with LU colleagues and apply for joint funding. The LU researcher must submit the application, but the funds support networking activities such as visits and meetings for researchers at both our institutions.
