OSA survey
Last Friday Yann Clough presented the results of the organizational and social work environment which you had the opportunity to contribute to in May-August this year. The results were a testimony to the excellent collegial atmosphere we have at CEC. Some of the areas we will be giving attention to as we move forward are giving more continuous (and positive) feedback, ensuring that we keep and develop our strengths within the CIG process and addressing the high levels of stress that many among us feel in the face of uncertainty related to CIG. The presentation is available on the CEC teams channel (under files), alternatively, contact Yann yann.clough@cec.lu.se if you would like a copy sent to you.

SDGs + LUCRIS
A new opportunity to find out more about how you can link the SDGs to your research in LUCRIS will come on 24 November, when Hanna Voog will come to the Friday Fika and talk about this.

Save the date for staff day and Christmas Party on 14 December 🎄
A combined staff day and Christmas party will take place on 14 December. We start with a joint lunch at 12 noon and then continue with various activities in the afternoon. The aim is to get together and get to know each other a bit better as well as to create a basis for better content and delivery of our education. There will be things for everyone to contribute with and discuss as well as social activities. At 17.30, the staff day turns into a Christmas party 🤶🕺💃🎄
A warm welcome!

Funding

New funding
We are delighted to announce that CEC will be involved in two formas funded policylabs. Juliana Dänhardt will coordinate “Policy-lab for nature-based solutions in cross-municipal climate adaptation”. The project is a collaboration with the Biosphere candidature “Storkriket” and involves several researchers from CEC and LU, the core team being Johanna Alkan Olsson, Maria von Post and Åsa Knaggård

Ullrika Sahlin will take part in “Robust climate adaptation Gävleborg” coordinated by Per Wikman-Svan at KTH Stockholm. The project is establishing a "policy lab", a collaborative environment where researchers and local decision-makers work together to formulate robust strategies for climate adaptation. The project team includes experienced researchers in climate adaptation, risk, and uncertainty management from KTH and Lund University, along with the County Administrative Board of Gävleborg.

Funding Opportunities
On the CEC Staff pages, there is a dedicated page called Funding Opportunities (a sub-page to Applying for funding) listing open calls for external funding. Some of the calls have a need for co-funding – please read the fine print and note that even if a call is listed on the CEC staff page, the required co-funding will not automatically be covered by CEC. If you want to apply for external research funding, CEC has a mandatory internal process, more information in the link below. Please contact research coordinator Marianne Hall if you have any questions regarding the process. Link to Applying for funding on cec.lu.se
