Information from Management The faculty’s election committee has suggested Per Persson for the position of Dean for the period 2024-2026. Karin Rengefors has been suggested for the position of Deputy Dean. The election will take place 15 May – 7 June and you can find more information about this on the faculty’s internal website. Congratulations on the nomination, Per! To make the transition of the CEC leadership during 2023 smooth, our Deputy Director, Katarina Hedlund, will work together with Per and we will keep you informed about any changes in administrative routines etc. Election of Dean, Deputy Dean and members of the Faculty Board | Internal Faculty of Science (lu.se) Intergration of CBBP into CEC's website The website for the former department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics is in the process of being closed. The next step is to start integrating CBBP into CEC's website, this work is ongoing and will be carried out througout spring.  What's up? NMT days for High School students and teachers - 13-17 March 2023 Next week it is time for the NMT days; a week filled with popular science lectures in science, medicine and technology. The event is aimed at high school students and teachers, and CEC is well represented with talks by Helena Hanson, Johanna Alkan Olsson, Andrea Hjärne and Ullrika Sahlin.  NMT-days website - lu.se Join the mailing list for CEC after-work functions. Last Thursday, one CEC team were crowned winner of John Scott's pub quiz. The secret to success was of course the mix of team members. Media and Publications Research on bumblebee queens attracted attention Research into the earlier flight times of the bumblebee queens has been widely reported in the media. Researchers Maria Blasi Romero, Romain Carrié and Anna Persson are quoted in articles distributed by TT Nyhetsbyrån and others. The international press has also drawn attention to the research.
